Conversations for Grenaa

Grenaa · fixed evening · confidentiality

It all works. It just costs more than it used to.

You still deliver, and most people around you notice nothing. But the evenings feel empty in a different way, and what you used to do without thinking now needs a small push. This page is for busy people in Grenaa who would like to talk it through, in English if that is easier.

About this site: it describes sessions with the psychologist Frank for leaders and other busy people in Grenaa and the surrounding area. The sessions are offered by djursland-psykologen.dk. The main site is in Danish.

Sessions in English

The conversations can be held in English, both in person in Mørke and online. From Grenaa, Mørke is roughly half an hour by car, a short drive that many people use to change gear between the working day and the evening. If the week is too full, online sessions work as a supplement, from wherever you can talk undisturbed.

If you recognise this

  • You come home and cannot quite feel anythingThe day is done, but there is little energy left for what you normally enjoy.
  • Your mind keeps runningA low, vague unease that has no name and appears when things go quiet.
  • Rest does not refill youWeekends, holidays and early nights help less than they used to.

You are not alone in this. Many people who carry responsibility for a job, a family or a business reach a point where their strength no longer keeps up with their duties. The sessions can help you understand what has happened and where your energy is going, without anything to perform and without a quick fix.

The framework

Individual sessions at a fixed time every week, in the evening, with the same psychologist throughout. Everything you say is covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality. Capacity is limited and there is typically a waiting list, with no promised start date. You sign up through the main site, and signing up is non-binding.

Questions and answers

Does my doctor or employer get told?

No. Your doctor is not informed, and neither are the municipality, your partner or spouse, or your workplace. The sessions are private and need no referral, and they are covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality.

Can my employer pay the invoice?

Yes. Many people have the invoice paid by their company or employer, and you can pay yourself too. See the practical information page on the main site.

Do I need to know why I feel this way?

No. You do not need a finished explanation, and there is nothing to prepare. Starting with the words "something is different" is enough.

Will I have to wait?

Probably. Capacity is limited and there is typically a waiting list. No start date is promised, and signing up is non-binding.

If it cannot wait: there is a waiting list, so the sessions are not an emergency service. If you need help right away, contact your GP, the out-of-hours medical service (lægevagten) or call 112.
